Vinyl Flooring Installation
Vinyl flooring is a resilient floor covering available in planks, tiles and sheet formats. It offers a range of timber-look and other finishes, and may suit a room refresh or a broader flooring replacement. The right format depends on the room, the existing base and the product's installation requirements, rather than appearance alone.
I check the surface underneath for smoothness, firmness and moisture before planning the work. Small defects can affect the finished result, particularly with thinner coverings. Preparation may involve removing the old covering, repairing suitable surface imperfections and arranging a compatible smoothing or underlayment system before laying starts.
Gluedown, loose-lay and other vinyl systems have different instructions. Adhesives, setting-out, edges and any required seams must suit the selected material. Water exposure and wet-room suitability need checking for the specific product; vinyl is not a treatment for an active leak or a wet subfloor. It cannot be sanded and refinished like timber.
Share the rooms involved, approximate area and any product you are considering. I can discuss the preparation and finishing work with you, including whether you want installation only or help arranging the flooring materials.
