Solid Timber Flooring Installation
Solid timber flooring is made from a single piece of wood through the thickness of each board. Its natural grain and variation can suit a living room, a whole-home renovation or an extension where you want to continue the character of an existing timber floor. I can help you plan a new installation or discuss replacement of an older floor.
Before laying begins, I check the proposed flooring, room layout and existing base. The plan considers moisture conditions, board direction, finished floor height and the joins with neighbouring rooms. Preparation, any required conditioning of the timber, and the fixing method are chosen for the product and site rather than assumed from the board's appearance.
We can discuss timber species, board widths and whether you prefer a factory-finished product or timber finished on site. Natural colour differences are part of the material, and later sanding depends on the remaining usable thickness and condition. Materials and finishing work will be clearly identified in the scope.
Tell me your suburb, the rooms involved and whether you already have flooring in mind. A few photos and an approximate area are a useful starting point for discussing the work.
