Hybrid Flooring Installation
Hybrid flooring is a manufactured, multilayer floor with a rigid core and a decorative surface. It is often considered for people who want a coordinated timber-look floor across everyday living areas. Products differ in construction, locking systems and permitted room use, so I check the actual flooring rather than treating every hybrid board as the same.
Before installation, I assess the base for flatness, stability and moisture, and look at door clearances and adjoining floor heights. The layout is planned before the boards are fitted, with movement allowances and transitions arranged to suit the chosen system. Existing floor coverings may need removal or additional preparation first.
Some hybrid boards have an attached backing, and an extra underlay should only be added when the manufacturer allows it. Water-resistant boards do not fix leaks or remove moisture trapped beneath a floor. Hybrid surfaces also cannot be renovated by sanding them as if they were solid timber.
If you already have a product in mind, share its name and the rooms you want to cover. We can discuss the base, finishing details and whether material supply is needed, then arrange a closer look where necessary.
